About Chaos

Chaos College
Hall of Fame

Chaos was founded in 1997 by Bob Drumheller & Jeff Celucci to afford girls in the 18U division the opportunity to participate in softball at a level of play not available to most high school or local travel teams. In 2000 leadership of the organization was taken over by Joe Spina, who is now in his 11th year and coaches the 18U Chaos Gold Team as well as continuing to lead the organization as it has grown from one team to as many as six.

Chaos 2010 is made up of 6 teams: 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, Chaos Elite (18U) & Chaos Gold (18U). Approximately 80 young ladies will spend their summer traveling to various tournaments anywhere from Florida to New York.  Most teams do anywhere from 7 to 10 tournaments, including several overnight trips.  In the past many Chaos teams have attended, and placed very well at, Nationals for PONY and NSA.  Our 18U Gold has amassed an impressive 78% winning percentage over their last four years and can compete with any team in the Nation.

Tryouts for Chaos are generally in August of each year, and practices then begin in the fall with indoor practices throughout the winter. Tryout schedules will be posted on the Team News page generally around late July. If you click on the "Contact Chaos" button on the bottom of the page and give us your contact information, we will email you as tryouts approach in August.

The organization has grown dramatically in the last several years, primarily due to the excellent reputation of our coaching staff and the record they have produced.  Their leadership has attracted some of the finest players in the area to join in the Chaos experience. They in turn have further spread the Chaos name by their excellent play and good sportsmanship. Excellent play is always strived for on Chaos. good sportsmanship and team spirit are a requirement.

These young ladies have already begun practicing for the 2010 season. They will devote a considerable amount of time and effort to improving their skills to be competitive when the season gets here.  They will also have gotten to know and appreciate each other as teammates and friends, so the entire Chaos experience will be enjoyed.  Chaos is not just a softball team.  It is an experience that fosters family values, team spirit, hard work and friendship.  All are involved: players, parents & siblings and coaches. This involvement cannot help but then lead to the formation of a great softball organization.

We at Chaos are proud to be members of the ASA, PONY, USSSA & NSA softball organizations.
